Yes, I live in a colony of Bakersfield  
Drainage is a huge problem in the desert. When our street gutters get backed up, I usually shovel them out for me and the two houses to the south, so the water will keep flowing past my house.

Yesterday, as I slaved in the gutter, neighbor Henry pointed out that the gutter mess is raw sewage. We traced it up to a house north of us.

I am on my fourth, YES, FOURTH government agency and NO ONE appears to cover environmental health in my rural, unincorporated area of Kern County.

I'll head back to pleading on the phone...

Nasty. If this weren't days old, I'd offer to help you get a hold of some agency. Christ. Call the media. I'm sure your local Fox affiliate would love to hear about your sewage and how you can't find a gov office to help you.

Darn it! This should have been investigated by Ace Detective La Gizma. I could become the next Erin Brokovich.

I'm out of town right now so I'm not sure if it has been handled yet.
